About Nuance Audio
Nuance Audio
Nuance Audio is a line of hearing glasses from EssilorLuxottica, sold in the US by Luxottica Group of Milan, for adults with perceived mild to moderate hearing loss. Directional microphones and open-ear speakers hidden in the frame enhance the voices in front of the wearer, with no earbuds. Nuance Audio Plus frames start at $829.
Key Features
- Audio modes: "Frontal" mode enhances sounds in front of the wearer and "All-around" mode enhances sounds on every side; a double tap on the frame switches between them.
- Noise management: Background Noise sets how much ambient noise comes through, and Noise Tracking analyzes the environment so the wearer can fine-tune the sound in real time.
- App presets: The Nuance Audio app offers four presets for different hearing needs and environments, plus volume control and calibration.
- Bluetooth calls: On Nuance Audio Plus, a double tap answers or ends calls through the glasses when paired with an iPhone (iOS 16 or later).
- Battery: Up to 10 hours of use on Nuance Audio Plus and up to 8 hours on the original Nuance Audio Glasses, with a charging pad included.
Use Cases
- Following overlapping conversations in busy offices and meetings.
- Hearing the people you are with in noisy outdoor places.
