Mentra Live

Mentra Live

Mentra Live is a pair of camera smart glasses for frontline workers from Mentra Labs, a San Francisco startup backed by Y Combinator, Amazon and Toyota Ventures. The 43 g glasses run the open-source MentraOS and use an HD camera, speakers and three microphones for audio AI guidance, voice commands, expert calls and photo records. They sell for $449 in the US.

Key Features

• Point-of-view camera: 119° field of view camera for 1080p video and 3264 x 2448 photos, used for documentation and Microsoft Teams expert calls.
• Open-source MentraOS: Runs the open-source MentraOS with an SDK and Bluetooth SDK that give apps access to the camera, microphones, speakers, touchpad and buttons.
• Private deployment: Companies choose their AI services and can deploy on-premises, in their own cloud, hybrid or fully air-gapped, with fleet management.
• All-shift battery: 43 g frame, 260 mAh glasses battery, 2,200 mAh charging case and an Infinity Cable for charging while wearing.
