    GHOSTYPE is an AI voice-to-text tool for macOS that converts speech into polished text in any app. Users hold a hotkey, speak and release, and the text is refined by AI before it lands, with spoken in-line corrections, a "ghost" suffix command for rewrite instructions and tone profiles that change from app to app.

    Key Features

    • AI Polish: Each sentence is refined by AI before it is inserted. A threshold keeps short phrases raw and polishes longer thoughts automatically.
    • In-line Logic: Corrections are spoken inside the sentence, for example spelling out an email address, with no menus or text selection.
    • Suffix commands: Ending a sentence with "ghost" plus an instruction, such as who the recipient is, reshapes the text to match.
    • Polish profiles: Professional, Casual, Formal, Creative, Concise or custom tones, assigned per app across tools such as Mail, Slack, Notion, Cursor and Teams.
    • Auto Enter: Per-app auto-send, including Cmd+Enter, sends the message as soon as the hotkey is released.
    • Instant Translate: Speech in one language is output in another in real time, without switching apps or input methods.
    • Quick Note: Thoughts are captured as a voice memo without opening an app: hold the key, speak, done.
    • Smart Contacts: Names mentioned while speaking are matched against the user's contacts to avoid misspellings. Custom hotkeys can be set separately for polish, translate and memo.
    • History and dashboard: Every input is logged with the original transcript and the polished result, kept on the user's machine, and a dashboard tracks time saved with daily stats, weekly trends and a personal efficiency score.
